A Sip Of Tea

Tea, as you know is little less of a favorite beverage compared coffee. But yes, as many people drink tea as are the coffee drinkers. Chocolate is a favorite for a similar reason as coffee for the flavour it brings. May it be any beverage at all, there is a art to drink. Surprised! yes there is an art. I heard it from a friend of mine who said it is a Zen concept, but I am not sure about it. The art according to me is to sit in lotus position (preferrably) and hold the cup with both your hands and feel the warmth of the cup and start sipping little by little cherishing the taste for a moment before swallowing till the final drop. Try it I say and you will feel more satisfied having drunk it that way than the usual gulping in a hurry to run to office or college. Close your eyes and sip for more divine feel. And if it is raining outside while you drink so, then it is pure heaven. Well, there is this little poetry book by Tamil Poet Vairamuthu ‘Konjam Theneer Niraya Vaanam’; this title inspired me to write about this sweet Art. It means ‘A sip of tea a lot of sky’.
