I have tried two sets of panja/pancha oil for divine deepas at my home and here is a little pondering on its contents. 1. Dheepam oil  – It is made up of castor oil, sesame oil, coconut oil, mahua oil and rice bran oil. 2. Mangaldeep oil – It is made up of gingelly oil, coconut oil, honge oil, hippe oil and castor oil. Hippe and mahua or one and the same i.e – iluppai oil in Tamil. Honge oil is pungai oil in Tamil. Other contents are the same for both. Below are the links on the benefits of using the five oils together or individually. Both of them miss the ghee part owing to the cost of it I guess. Rice bran is said to be auspicious to Goddess Annapoorani. Sloka for lighting the lamps –
